Relocating to a new place : how does it make you feel?

Changing your city/ country for job or studies sounds fun to some people, and might make others nervous. I don't find it very appealing too, though i am not a very social person, and easily adapt in a new place, but still thought of relocating makes me feel low. what about you?

Many years ago I moved to a new city to go to school. At first I didn't like it much. It took me a while to adjust because I am not a social person either but soon the place grew on me and I have never left here.

@Jenning I am find talking to people online but I find it hard to go out and meet people. I am shy until I really got to know somebody.

I have so far no occasion to shift place. I was born and brought up in the same city. Completed my studies here. Later I got the job in the same city. I think it gets difficult to settle at a new place. But if one could, in the long run s/he learns a lot and get good exposure to different cultures.

@shaynas Yes, I would consider myself lucky. Changing places/cities causes trouble and you are right that nothing could be like home town (where you were originally born and brought up).

@dpk262006 Yeah.... there is a different connect to the place you are born and brought up. Where ever we move, how long we live there, i feel that connect still remain missing.

If it is just a travel, then I can adjust to it easily. But if I have to move to a new city or even another country, then it will be different. I will feel excited to it, but meanwhile I will be worried, nervous and even afraid of the new change.

Home town is the best place for study and job.I too did not accepted a well paying and good job just for home state. IF the post is very powerful, only then I'll go to another place.

I would love to experience moving from cities to cities or even countries to countries provided it's temporary. If it's not. I hope to be able to fly back home from time to time.
