My poem "The Sea" placed...

I just found out that my poem "The Sea" won second place, and received a "silver trophey" recognition. Yeah it is virtual. But at least I placed pretty high. The Sea In the midst of a cool breezy night... Lies the essence of wonder in sight... A soft ray of light glistens on the ocean... Sets the mood now deep in motion... Rushing waves breaking on the shore... Shhh! Listen, and hear much more... Sound of Silence... Sound of Peace... Gives the feeling of sweet release... See the pebbles softly lie... Within the sand beneath the sky... In the air a sweet perfume... Begins to surface begins to bloom... Come now land! Come now sea! Join together in unity! A sweet aroma you will bring... A flood of salt upon your wings! So let us now take you in... And see your beauty deep within... That we might share of your abundance... Which God has given without repentance... I enjoyed the rhythm in the poem. Due to this rhythm, it even works wonderfully as a song! Just try out once. I tried singing to the tune of Cat's in the Cradle (refrain section); works well.

@teresatrotter - Ms Teresa - Tonight is a cool, breezy night here. Maybe that is why it became suitable to congratulate you for your winning poem. Fact is, I liked it, which is why I had bookmarked it early on. Glad to see you working away on this poetry stuff. It's fun, is it not? -Gus-
