Some of you may know that we are not home. We are kittysitting our son's female cat at his, close to the beach home, 25 minutes from our home. Of course, we brought Doodles, his male cat with us. He was a trooper in his carrier in the car. I feel as if we are on a vacation. We've gone out for our breakfasts, ordered dinner from local restaurants, and are going out tonight. We have walked along the water, although it's too cold to go for a swim, and taken car rides with me driving, of course. We play with the cats, and enjoy each other's company. Doodles and Kuma loved their reunion. We love our room and private bath, and being in our son's gorgeous home. We must leave this paradise early tomorrow, so my hubby can make his therapy appointment. Besides, our son and his fiancée will return from their long weekend in Montreal. It's been a joy for us to have a change of scenery.

Thanks. The cat that Doodles doesn't like is at her mother's house. We keep Doodles when we are home from Florida. Musical cats. Lol! He seems to love the female cat.

Maybe this period of rest and relaxation will help your husband's therapy sessions this week. I do hope so. I hope that the kids had as nice a time away as you did there!

Lol! It was tough on me, since I had to load and unload the car, drive all over the place, etc. My hubby couldn't help much at all.

@MarymargII Today I drove him to therapy, then the supermarket, loaded the car and carried everything in. He can't even lift his arms to put items on our cabinet shelves. How is your hip doing?

It was nice getting out of our house for a few days. That photo is of fat Doodles. He just got out of Kuma's little bucket after a nap.

Thank you. His scar looks great, but he still needs my help here, just as much as he needs it at home. Therapy and time should heal those arms of his.

I have you both in my prayers @DianneN just make sure he takes it easy, nerves do not heal fast and he will have to baby them if he wants them to heal.

It is nice ,isn't it? We usually run down to the cottage every few weeks but now with the exercise so many days a week we have gotten out of the habit.

@DianneN So true, the exercise is much more beneficial to my husband than going down to the cottage.

We always have a fun time with the kitties. Making sure he doesn't eat the other cat's food as well as his own can be a challenge.

Ah, I can see how it could be like being on vacation - in a sense it was as you guys had been cooped up at home for some time now. Well I'm glad you were able to be out and the cats had a lovely time as well! Hope therapy is going well for your Hubby!!

@DianneN I heard PT can be a pain, literally. But hopefully as he continues, he gets better faster and there will be less aching. Both of you hang in there!!

@DianneN - As I get older, more and more of my friends are spending at least some time as a caregiver for their spouse. I guess it is a normal part of the process of aging with someone we love.
