That's my mom in the photo, I have no clue when it was taken but I imagine she was probably about 21 or so. I took this photo from a photo in 2010 and I'm so glad I did.
It's her birthday today so:
Happy Birthday Mom
I'm not happy you're gone
but
I'm happy you're not suffering anymore
All those "if only's" keep entering my thoughts but how could I have known when it started, I was too close and missed all those signs.
R.I.P. Mom, I will always love and miss you
Thanks everyone for letting me post this, I'm just a little blue today.

Awww, that had to be really hard for you @crazyhorseladycx I lost dad in 1980 so losing mom wasn't as hard on me as you losin 2 so close together. It was also expected given mom was 99 when she passed, maybe that's why I feel numb.

@rebelann yes ma'am, i still ask myself those from time to time'n regards to both my dad 'n mamaw - who i lost less'n 3 weeks 'part. so, i can empathize with ya. don't let't get'cha down, k?

Thank you for caring and the compliment, she would have liked to hear that.
It's not even a year yet since she passed so yes I am still sad but on the other hand I am also glad she no longer suffers. I think it will be easier next year.

I'm so sorry for your loss as well, you must have been devastated.
Mom passed last November and honestly I don't think she was all that happy these past 4 years, trouble is she had a stroke in April of last year and couldn't talk anymore after that. It was heartbreaking to see her reduced to that state.2 people like this

@rebelann Thank you; it was horrible. She had massive cancer throughout her whole body. It's hard to watch someone you love that was full of life and gitty-up-and-go suddenly reduced to being oblivion.
