I had a bit of raspberry puree leftover from my birthday cake (which was a lemon cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory) and wanted to use it up rather than throwing it away. I thought I might put it on some yogurt, but discovered that I'm out of plain yogurt. I noticed a container of cottage cheese in the back of the fridge and decided to pour the puree on top of that. It was perfect!

I discovered eating cottage cheese with either crushed pineapple or peaches while working at Headstart. Yes, just like the children, I tried a lot of new foods during my 13 or 14 years of working there.
I don't use peaches often, but love the crushed pineapple with it!

My mom used to serve sliced canned peaches with cottage cheese. I think I like it with pineapple better than the peaches, but I think fresh peaches would be good with it.

That's one way of making sure that raspberry puree isn't wasted!
I bet that cottage cheese salad tasted delicious.

Well, you can get cottage cheese with pineapple so I guess other fruits would work with it as well.

I've had fresh berries with cottage cheese before, but this was a puree. It basically made pink cottage cheese!
