Amazon is pretty fast with returns!

I ordered a photography props gear and it didn't work with my camera. I contacted Amazon asking if the product in fact doesn't work with my camera or is it defected? Since the product is not sold by Amazon, only fulfilled - Amazon won't be able to send a replacement. They told me I can ship it back for free!
What I noticed is if you selected - don't like this product anymore you're charged a shipping label, but if you select other reasons like product is defective or broken to ship back is completely free.
In this case I selected "defected" as told.
I received a shipping label immediately in my email. I taped that on the box and off I went to USPS to drop off the back Fri. Oct 14.
Today, being 3 business days later Oct. 19 - I got my money back refund, $15! That was pretty quick. This is my 2nd ever return on Amazon. First one was years ago for a case I bought my dad that didn't work out as claimed.
Just sharing my good experience I received for returning on Amazon!

My sister buys from Amazon and likes it. I have heard that now the shipping is more expensive.

Ah yes! But I have an account thru my sis because she pays for Amazon prime. Otherwise I don't think I'd use Amazon due to the high shipping cost :(

I return thing to that shopping site whose first initial I can't type but the other two are VC....If a product is defective return postage they pay...if you just don't like something and return it you pay shipping. I don't think we have ever returned anything to Amazon, I buy much more at the other site.

@infatuatedbby Some places I've returned things to charge return shipping whether the item was defective or didn't fit or whatever...I stopped doing business with them.

That sounds great. Amazon is a good online store. But today I don't often buy products from Amazon here. In the past I needed to buy a certain amount of products and the delivery could be free of charge. But today this amount increased to 99 yuan and it is expensive. Sometimes I don't need to buy so much. This is why today I mainly buy from another online store since they need lower purchase amount.

Yep, 3 days to process was quick! I didn't expect the package to be mailed to them quickly, so I'm happy with that!
