Day 44 Proverbs 11:19 Proverbs 11:19 As righteousness tends to life: so he that pursues evil pursues it to his own death. From the moment you are born you learn right from wrong. No becomes the first word you learn because your parents were busy telling you ‘no’ when you did something wrong. It was easy to know what was acceptable by the time you went to school. You could also determine who didn’t seem to know right from wrong because they were always in trouble. Solomon showed us two types of people: those who followed God’s law closely, and those who paid no attention to what God required of them. Jesus also showed us two paths – the straight and the narrow, and the wide path. The first led to life, the second to destruction. Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it. As Christians, when you follow Jesus’ example for your lives, you will walk the path leading to eternal life. Let’s pray: Father, help me pursue righteousness leading to life and stay away from anyone who pursues an evil lifestyle. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
