I think most people have movies that they enjoy watching over and over again, and one of those, for me is the 1982's "Blade Runner" based off of a novel titled "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by Phillip K. Dick. Having read the novel - the movie leaves a lot out. I highly recommend both the book, and movie though.
For this review I'll be discussing the movie.
**Spoilers Possible**
The movie is set in the future, the world has been almost destroyed and most of humanity has taken off in space ships. Only lower class people, those unable to make the trip, are left on earth. Enter Harrison Ford as Deckard, a "Blade Runner", a special kind of cop that hunts down renegade robots that are called Replicants. Robots are a crucial part of the human experience now as they function - sometimes working on distant planets too dangerous for human work, and sometimes serving as companionship. Some of these robots develop self awarness , though and become irate at their servant role.
I won't ruin it for you in case you haven't seen it, but if you like sci-fi you owe it to yourself. Even though the movie was made in 82, it's as old as I am, it has aged well.

**For those who have seen it** Do you believe the Deckard himself is a replicant?

It was a great movie, but not one I would watch more than once or twice. The world we inhabit is Dystopian enough.

You have a good point. It is a strange world we live in. Somehow these movies really speak to me,
