The Square-Wheel Motorcycle - I was looking through some of my really old-old-old doggerel poems today, sorting them onto the disk drive prepping for a run-through toward the eBook being put together. I came upon one I had put up onto the "Big Bubble" some time back. It was about the motorcycle with the square wheels. I read the thing, and it made me laugh just thinking about such a machine. Way back, when I was dumb teenager, I had spent my very scant cash money on a motorcycle that only its mother might have loved. Without going into all of the details about that motorcycle, let's just say that it had way more problems than pleasures. The only really good thing about it was that it was really easy on the gasoline it used. (Mostly because it did not work all that often...) I never expected that I would find a photograph of another motorcycle that would remind me of the beast that I had owned, but along came our friends over at Pixabay.com and put such a photo onto their page of a chopper that was a lot like my old rig. The Square-Wheel Motorcycle Not a "Harley," nor an "Indian," Chopper-heaven, that was this 'n Painted flaming red was it. Purple cushion for to sit. Great big handles, chromed-up throttle, Even a holder for a bottle. Such a beast – but on the road this hulk with motor never go'ed not even if you took a dare - 'cause its two wheels were just plain square. (Note: "Harley" and "Indian" - two famous brands of motorcycles) * * * * * * * * * * Image: Pixabay dot com , Edited by Gus Kilthau * * * * * * * * * *

Round wheels, yet we aim for a square meal - where's the logic in that?

@pgntwo - Friend PGN - Speaking of logic and wheels, around here it is supposed to be in the spokes. -Gus-

@pgntwo - Friend PGN - Circling a square is much easier than is squaring a circle. Hence, the expression - "Pies squared ain't round no longer, nor shorter, for that matter and, by all calculations it does not matter. What was once a traditional "pie are squared" went out with the invention of the circular pie tin, obviating the need for any additional intervention or any continued congestion due to further invention submission at the patents and trademarks office. Life since then has become of lesser complexion, being now much paler than it was during earlier square circling times." I know these things from good authority. Those, too, are scarce of finding in these more ribald times. [...Authorized by the local big shot (or ankle) here in the colonies...] -Gus-

Oh my god! There are people like you..lol. Seriously, if we could make it work, it would bring down fuel requirements considerably.

@vandana7 - Ms vanny - That old motorcycle of mine snorted and vibrated so hard, one day the metal body cover fell off as I was riding on the road. All of the retaining screws had vibrated out. Every kid needs a challenge like that motorcycle provided me. (It IS funny now that I am no longer a teenager.) Thanks for enjoying this memory along with me. -Gus-
