Getting ready for a literary workshop.

My eldest granddaughter has been coming in and out these last years so that I give her a literary workshop. I´m not sure if it will work at all. If you want to write, you must spend a lot of time in it. And she is working all she can as she is saving all the money she can to go abroad to study. Anyway, coming here won´t hurt her any, I will have her for lunch and it will be a bonding time. But many of my writer friends who direct workshops make the people write there and then and I believe in thinking and editing. Have you ever been into a workshop of any kind, what have you done and when?

In a workshop setting, I think it is important to start with ideas and ways of expression, but I am always surprised by how much I can write in the inspiration of the moment.

Today Carolina wrote a beautiful piece of work. And the most important thing I told her was that she should write about something that she knew about and was important to her. From that moment on, she could twist her story as she wished.

@JamesHxstatic Last week she wrote something she knew nothing about and the results were bad. I told her to edit it at home, but today I explained to her about writing what was close to her. She amazed me by writing a very good page.

I do not go to those, usually about money and while some offer good advice none preach what they say they practice. Sorry, still irratable. lol I do hope your granddaughter learns something though, they are good for younger people to see how the world works.

This one is about techniques to write. Nothing to do with money. I would not be interested and I´m glad she wouldn´t either. I´m sorry that you haven´t thrown out your demons yet. Sometimes I wish I had a punching ball.

@crossbones27 Make peace with them then, as much as you can. I try to do that every single day. It´s not easy.

@marguicha I am not sure my demons will leave. Cannot undo what the world has already done. lol You did catch me on a bad day though. Still we strive for something better with demons included. lol

I was many years ago when I went to my first writing conference. It was interesting.
