Diary Saturday 22nd October 2016 I had very little time online this weekend as I was visiting friends in Rochdale, near my old Manchester home. I set off about lunchtime, picking up some booze on route and taking a leisurely coach ride to Manchester before catching the Metrolink to Milnrow, near Rochdale. I helped other early arrival uests decorate the house for its sea themed costume party. We drew and cut out paper fish to trap in nets around the walls. Kids made paper tissue seaweed. There were shells, model boats and other nautical paraphilia around too. My costume was just pinning toy fish and a plastic Spongebob Squarepants to my clothes and wearing a pirate hat. Others were much better including Rock Lobsters from the B-52 song, our host came as his own Dad as he wore his father’s old navy officer’s uniform. A lady came as an oil-slick and a child was Pi, from The Life Of Pi, complete with tiger. The best costume was undoubtedly the shark, who at one point made as if eating Nemo of Finding Nemo fame. Diary Sunday 23rd October 2016 A morning recovering after drinking until gone 3am. One of the other guests kindly prepared a full breakfast for everyone and another guest gave me a lift to the tram stop as I started my return journey to Preston. I went to a lovely monthly burlesque show in the evening as a friend was debuting her new act there which was sensational. I won a set of temporary tattoos there in a raffle so someone will get those as an extra Christmas present.
