My late spring sunflowers, aren't they pretty?

That last one was easy to guess as @coolpeace proved. Yes, it's a sunflower and one of the ones I grew this past spring. Not many of you were fooled by that one. I'm so proud of these sunflowers, aren't they pretty? Did you grow any this year?

@rebelann I plant them in the back of our garden, the birds in late summer come to pick up the seeds.

I live under too much shade but my daughter grows them, I do love them. Your photo is fabulous!

lovely sunflowers 'n i like the way ya did the edges, gives a bit'f dimension. there's some here'n there out by the garage. the grasshoppers thought 'em most tasty treats 'n ate all the petals 'fore they e'en opened. i've fingers crossed fer next year.

I've been lucky we haven't had any of them .... I think my neighbor spray nough pesticide to kill anything that flies, probably why we don't have very many bees.

Yes it is @crazyhorseladycx the worst part is they speak limited Engllish and the fool referred to the herbicide as medicine to keep the weeds from growing .... there were both born and raised in Guadalajara Mexico and I get the feeling neither one of them got a whole lot of education, it's not free in Mexico.

Oh those are so pretty I grew some sunflowers this summer not as many as I use to grow... Can you grow stuff like daffodils there? Ive always wondered if they would grow there,

Mom used to grow all kinds of flowers but her home is in the suburbs and is protected by fences and other things although I would not be able to afford her water bill, it was always over $100 a month from about May to October because they need more water than a lot of other plants. Beautiful photo
