It’s Almost Midnight Busy day coming up tomorrow. I have to go the grocery store first thing. I haven’t been since I got home from the beach. It’s supposed to be warmer tomorrow, so I put it off. I have three persons coming to my house for lunch tomorrow, and I need a few things. I’m going to make some chili and corn bread. I made some brownies this evening and I have plenty of things to drink. Basically, all I need is some ground chuck. I have all the rest of the ingredients. I actually took them to the beach and then never made the chili. So, I have all but the meat. Do you like chili? I haven’t made any all summer, of course. It’s a cool weather meal, I think. I might be rushing the season, because it’s supposed to be very pleasant tomorrow. I just want to use up what I have though. Nothing fancy, of course.

I make simple chili. Just spaghetti sauce, kidney beans and add some type pf meat. Hamburger, pork sausage or Italian sausage.

Everyone has a different recipe for chili, I think. Mine is fairly simple too, but I use stewed tomatoes instead of spaghetti sauce. Sausage would be good. I've never tried that.

That's one of my favorite dish, we either make it with our pressure cooker or I have months supply of canned Chili con Carne compliments of my uncle living in L.A., its not very popular here that's why the canned version is very hard to find, the brands my uncle sends me is Cattle Drive and i think Stagg

I'm glad you have someone to send the canned chili to you from the U.S. What is something that you like to cook that is popular in the Philippines? I have a friend whose family is still in the Philippines. He goes there to visit from time to time. He married an American woman and they have one daughter. They live near my son in North Carolina.

Chili is very popular in the USA and I would say in Mexico too. There are many different recipes for making it. Everyone seems to have their own way of making chili. Some like it with hot peppers and hot chili sauce, but I just use chili pepper.. I don't like things really spicy hot. I'm more for a milder version.
