I have used it for almost 7 years now and it is still good because I have already change the something inside once. It is a notebook and I am thinking of getting a Mac book Air in my next purchase . But I am not sure yet since everybody told me that Mac Book Air is another system and hard to learn it in the beginning. At the same time, it is quite expensive as well. What do you think? Well I can tell you that Apple computers are the easiest to learn and use. They were made that way from the beginning. I have had iMacs for many years. The one I am on now is just about 10 years old and still going. So I feel i got my money's worth from it. I am going to get a new one soon though. And my son is getting a Macbook or macbook air for christmas. I think it would be a wise choice.

@informationshelter They do last a long time. They say at least twice as long as a basic PC.

@wildlittlefan Yes. he deserves it. My daughter wanted a new iPad but then changed her mind. So I have been after her to find out what she wants. She hasn't told me yet. But I did tell my son that this is the last big ticket christmas. My kids got everything they wanted through the years, especially after the marriage broke up. They got iPads and iPhones and computers. Even stereos. So this year is the end of that high end. That is until I can get back up and be able to get then the things they want again. Until then they understand. But it will be a special christmas.

Wow, 9 years. It is interesting. I think your desktop can be placed in museum.
How could you keep it for that long ?
