Day 54 Proverbs 12:3 Proverbs 12:3 A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved. The world around us if full of wickedness. We see it everywhere we look from those in high government positions down to the regular man on the street. However, though it might look like their positions are established, sooner or later all they worked for will crumble into dust. Those left standing when the dust clears are those whose foundations were built on the Word of God, and who put their trust and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. They will not be moved no matter what people will do or try to do to them. Solomon saw that as he dealt with all the countries around him. Those who didn’t trust God saw trouble and hardship. What they devised did not come to fruition. However, God established the plans made by those who trusted him. When you put your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, he will establish you and no one will persuade you to move from your position of authority in the body of Christ. Satan will come against you. He will do all he can to persuade you with honeyed words, with temptations leading you back to your old life, and cause you untold trouble. However, those who trust God will not be moved. What do you trust? Is it in the stuff you accumulated, your wealth, job, position in society? It will all come to nothing. Have you put your trust in God? If so you know the joy of being in his presence, of answered prayer, of worship that touches the throne and heart of God and because of that, nothing Satan can do will persuade you to compromise your trust and faith. You have a choice to go after the world or trust in God. Which will it be? Let’s pray: Father, help me stand for you so I will not fall for Satan’s lies and persuasions. Help me say I will not be moved as I put all my faith and trust in you. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Copyright © 30 October 2016 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

You have to really believe in God to make the right choice. And so many people do not believe.

And that's so sad.

Wickedness is temporary when compared to eternity but righteousness has deep roots and has permanence. So, best to trust God and His Son Jesus Christ as you point out.

Ah, but the wicked enjoy a different kind of eternity, though enjoy is probably not the best word to use since it will be fire and brimstone.
