I think I saw some fog very early in the morning around 2 a.m. Wouldn't surprise me as November 1 is deemed as "official" commencing of Winters. Besides all the smoke due to bursting fire crackers could stay in the air for a while.
I had a busy day yesterday because of the festival and the preparations. Was cooking, helping, cleaning and the likes all day.
In the evening, I was so tired that I was having trouble keeping my eyes open.
The random bothering of joints also showed up yesterday. That really made my work easier.
(For those who are not aware, I fell sick with Chickengunya recently. It attacks the joints and the pain can last for over a year after the onslaught of the fever.)
Did I mention I got hit by a bike in the very knee that was bothering me? No? Well I did. I got reminded of it at around 2 am in the morning. That is how I saw the fog too.
I LOVE winters but with the joints trouble at random intervals.......I am kind of wary of it now!
Anyways, how is it going guys?
(Photo by Me. I clicked them yesterday. Sorry the quality is not good.
.)
1. The Gurudwara Sahib-inside view(Sikh Temple)
2. The lit candles and devotees lighting them around the Nishan Sahib.
3. Diwali Gifts on display!
4. The colourful wall and door hangings on display!

@Daljinder I love the photos.
Sorry again about the knee and joints. I feel bad you have to deal with that.

@Daljinder I'm so happy to have seen the photos etc. Not just because of the event itself but to get to know you better. Just really cool.

@VivaLaDani13 Thanks
If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have bothered with any pictures.
No worries! I will manage. It's not happening all the time. Just out of blue.

@LadyDuck Thank you! I have more like stiff joints rather than painful. The pain starts only if ignore stiffness so I take care of it by taking medicine.

Not happy about the Chickenguniya after-effects. My sister had the joints problem (still has) and that was serious. Wishing you a phenomenal recovery, to be marked as a wondrous case!

@hora_fugit I am positive I will. It didn't hit me worse but my cousin on the other hand, he is in trouble. He fell ill before me and was hit with it worse. He also skipped his medications which doctors strictly warned against.

@rebelann Not all the festivals. We do have harvest festivals but this one was Diwali (the festival of lights). It is celebrated for the victory of good over evil and return of Lord Rama (a Hindu God) back to his kingdom after the exile of 14 years.

It was foggy this morning here in California--and pretty chilly. The sun is starting to come out now.

@just4him Fever wise I have been fine for some time. These are the lasting effects of the fever I contracted which might last for over a year.
The guy was an old man. I didn't wait to confront him. It would have drawn more crowd and I don't like to be put on spot so I walked off.

yes, holidays are exhausting - before, during and after.
it's horrible when that happens, getting hit on or reinjuring a weak spot.
i came to know about Chikungunya when my classmate and her kids got it.
do hot water bottles work, or something like the handwarmers that crazyhorselady made, when you have flareups?

@hereandthere You are right about that. lol It's exhausting.
I am too lazy to go to all that efforts. I just swallow a pill and avoid doing sit ups or push ups.

@skysnap Yeah early morning, evening and night are definitely cooler now. We even started switching off fans and cutting down refrigerated water.
