The threat of disconnection of our Power utilities comes again, this time Mom compromise money but to pay it later. This time I was as early as before but preparing myself to get there before the cutting man does to my house. I got there around 7:30am and the line was so light that pay lasted less than 30 minutes . I'm through with Payment Centers, they don't seem to update the payment on time. Were always delayed with payments because of our visitors' needs. I'm sure once they leave, things will go back the way it was, paying on time.
MANILA, Philippines?Consumers of Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) will pay lower bills in the month of May as the company decreased its generation charge by

@Letranknight2015 of course you can, it's very cheap now in Raon street in Manila, I bought my own and created my solar system watching youtube videos. Wind turbines is harder to maintain.

I always pay our MERALCO bills every 15th of the month. But our PLDT bill, I have to pay it on time because they keep on calling and reminding us about our due date. I hate it because they have a grace period of 5 days but still they want us to pay on the due date..

It's the same thing with globe but we only pay it when the threat of the third bill comes @magallon and that's probably next week.

@Letranknight2015 Third bill? Do you mean your line is not cut even if you have two unpaid bills?

@magallon Well, we didn't pay the last time so, yeah it got cut but that's never a case with meralco because we need electricity.

Paying bill at time is the best choice always. However, at times, we can't stick with the same. Once the cutting done then it is difficult to restore it back. I am glad you saved yourself from the difficulties.

This is why we have our utility bills on automatic payment through a certain credit card. In effect, we only have one due date to actually remember and pay: the credit card bill. And we also get to earn points using that credit cards and if ever we have any disputes, it is not as if our money is already debited, we can choose to not pay the amount being disputed. It works for us.

@Letranknight2015 It's worth looking into. When I was working there, our company utilities are being paid thru auto-payment by the president and owner's corporate credit card so we only keep track of the credit card's due date.

@Raine38 I'd rather pay it personally because at least from there I'm assured that the bill is paid up.

I am not sure if that works on the Residential here in the Philippines, My elder aunt had told me the something you just told me. We haven't tried it yet and not sure if it's applicable here @Raine38
