I have finished my ballot and there were so many props that it was so hard to understand what should be yes or no. We had some things that I think are a great idea, but with 2 measures about the disposable bags I think people will be so confused that its not likely California will stop giving out plastic bags.
Another one that people feel strongly about is education. There are several about money for education or at least that is what some of the ads are saying and we all know money doesn't grow on trees, so I'm not sure how people can afford more expenses.
I have spent hours reading pros and cons in the ballot, online sites and talking with people. Its not easy to figure out what will end up happening when something passes or fails. I hope people take the time to vote no matter how they make choices on the ballot. Hope your ballot is shorter than mine.

I agree better education for the public is needed now. When you consider just how much is spent putting the props on the ballot and some of them are badly written its terrible to see this happen in the United States. We have 2 measures that if both pass, then the one that has the most votes is the winner and the other doesn't happen. I think many people will vote yes on both not understanding they both can't happen. In the case of them one means more land has to stay farm land and the other farm land can be used for canneries or other forms of agriculture. I tried explaining to somebody yesterday that a field of wheat isn't the same as a cannery. The person tried telling me it doesn't matter which passes and I strongly disagreed. I hope people vote, as long ballots can mean people struggle to fill out the paperwork. Thanks for posting.

@Fishmomma disheartenin' how the 'powers that be' set such 'p fer failure, aint 't? when some folks run 'cross such, they most likely jest bypass what they don't comprehend. 'r worse yet, jest start checkin' schtuff off like they're guessin' - akin to somebody not studyin' 'n takin' a multi-choice test'n school. sigh..
yer welcome!
