Typing doubt!

How can I bold or underline something on my lot? I mean..I see the BIU sign when opening my lot code..but when I use it, the 'B' stood out. How is it actually supposed to be used..seems like I am doing some mistake..!

I think you put everything you want to bold or underline between the symbols to make it happen properly.
