freezer fossils

One of the things I'm attempting to do to prepare for the coming holidays is to use up what I've got in the freezer. I'm trying to clear out the "freezer fossils", or items that have been in the freezer for so long, no one's quite sure what they were or what to do with them. It's requiring a bit of creativity on my part and a lot of patience from everyone at dinnertime. How about you? Do you have "freezer fossils"?

Freezer archeology! Did you have to get creative with using any of the things in your freezer?

I certainly do. I like your name for them. I have had freezer and refrigerator problems for over a year and lost some stuff that I had saved for soups. Probably a lot of my freezer fossils will be come soups, unless they are fruit, then they will be smoothies.

For some reason, now there is just the two of us we don't have this problem nearly as much as when we were a larger family. It's easy for stuff to sit on the bottom of the freezer for months.

I have some freezer fossils. And I have a very full freezer due to garden veggies. Hubby hates when I dig in the freezer as he likes it to look neat! So he keeps shopping.

That is a great idea. Yes I do have freezer fossils. I will, have to go through my freezer someday and get creative and use them up.
