Last night my hsuand ans I sat and watched the new ghostbusters movie that was rebooted. My hsu and putting it nicely was bored to death. I was bored their was a few laughs but it wasn't that funny and wasn't great either.
I personally won't be watching it again. But I'm sure my 4 year old son that has been wanting to watch it is going to love it. All I liked about the ,Ovid was the music.

A classic example of an absolutely unnecessary reboot, remake or what ever you want to call it.

Reboots are another versions on an exciting version. Remakes are when they taking the same version as the original. Their are reboots that are good but most are bad. Remakes can be a hit or miss depending on how they get.

@ShyBear88 I know the difference between a reboot and remake. Ghostbusters walks the fine line of being a hybrid of both.

@JohnRoberts I don't see it as a hybrid at all. The only they did to save the movie was to invite the original cast to play roles. If they wanted to add them in as to make it. Remake of continuTion they could have used their names they where called in the first two movies or had the women characters have the same last names as the ordinal characters last names.
Either way it was poorly done. A few lines made me last.

The original Ghostbuster movie is better ten-fold. The new one is just full of unnecessary visual effects and the plot was too shallow and has lots of unexplainable 'how did that happen' moments. Yes, I had a few laughs when I watched it, but like you, I would not watch it again.
