Well, fellow Americans, tonight is going to be interesting. Did you vote yet? I voted by mail a few days ago. This has to be one of the most bizarre presidential elections in US history.

I did weeks ago with my absentee ballot and just this minute they talked about ( on Boston news) the Chinese are pleased to see the ballots in their language. For some crazy reason, my satellite TV is based out of Boston. True story...

@celticeagle We have learned something about how angry many Americans are. But angry with what?

I am currently watching the US Election news on Sky News and there are two reporters arguing vehemently about the suitability of the candidates. I find this amusing because it is not even our election. I dread to think of how much arguing is taking place in the USA.

@TheHorse This election seems to have generated more interest over here than any previous US election.

Actually, the only person I've discussed the election with (beyond sharing looks of bewilderment) is the guy at the gas station!

@Lucky15 .. Your President actually has a ready made topic for next elections. I will kill all those who will misbehave with women or talk rubbish about women. I bet at least half the population would vote for him, and he would still win because opposition would be divided on different issue even if they agree on gender issue.

@NJChicaa I hope he does it with class. I thought he was funny for the first few months of his campaign. Sort of comic relief amidst all of the PC BS, seriousness and self-importance. But then it wasn't funny any more.

@JudyEv Thanks for the assurance. If @LadyDuck's guest bedroom and atomic shelter in Switzerland doesn't work out, can I stay with you until I find a place? Or maybe my sister would let me live with her in Umbria Italy. I'm used to earthquakes.

@TheHorse Half an hour ago it seemed Trump was winning. I'm too scared to get an update now :) Anyone would think it was my country. And yes, I'm sure you'd have no trouble getting a job over here - and I think it would pay well too.

Congratulations for voting. The Fourth Prime Minister of Israel, Mrs. Golda Meir, 1969. A remarkable, respectable, unblemished leader and one of the great Jewish thinkers. I find the misrepresentation of Israel's 4th Prime Minister in that photo inappropriate. Thank you.

I find it hilarious. One of the strongest women in the history of the world. An interaction between Trump and her would have been interesting. I wish I could have been there in Colorado, involved in the intellectual discussions that she said shaped her views.
9 Nov 16
@TheHorse I agree about Golda Meir being one of the strongest and wisest thinkers in history. I can also see honorable Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu calling President Trump "a true friend of the State of Israel."

Bizarre is a good description. There has never been an election like this. One candidate under investigation and the other one never been in politics before.

It really is strange and vicious, but I keep hearing that it has nothing on elections in the 19th century. Love that photo! Golda could do it too!

@TheHorse I need to ask you something. That certainly looks like Golda Meir to me. Is that her? She was one of our Prime Ministers of Israel and was born in the United States many years ago.
