How about the Spur drink. This was very popular in the forties. Once or twice a week we will see the Blimp They drop off coupon to get a free drink. This was huge in our time as we look forward. Spur drinks were like a cola if I remember.Very tart taste. Everyone went wild trying to catch the coupon. This was huge for us kids and loved it.They we had I believe the Coke Cola one and others. Did you ever seen a Blimp at all? Photo is google image

We have blimps around here during sporting events. Never heard of Spur, though. I'm glad to be able to say SOMETHING was before my time.

We used to take our children to the airport every time there was a blimp arriving. It was so much fun for all of us, It would have been in the 1970's when my children were small. And it would have been in Kansas too. I don't remember which blimps it was but we did enjoy seeing them.

I've seen plenty of blimps, especially over the shoreline, but never heard of Spur. That must have been fun trying to catch the coupons.
