More candles for the night

candle

November 15, 2016 3:59pm CST
Last night It was a big mistake ignoring a flicker from my desk light. Thirty minutes later black out happened and heard the screams of people outside who are shocked . As for me, I struggled to find candles while using the flash flight my aunt gave me. They were probably less than a dozen but it was worth it. Well, her friend who called that night said they had experienced it too, guess their conversation kept mom from getting bored. I'm glad the electricity went back as were running out of candles. I might consider buying more first thing in the morning. I forgot to mention I do have a Battery operated lantern but it's busted

For me it is better to use flashlights than candles, it is faster and gives better light so we have flashlights at home for unexpected brownouts.

We have a couple of torches which we try to keep handy for when the power goes off. But it seems it's always a bit of a nightmare to find them.

@JudyEv I search about it and it's kind expensive, might as well buy flash lights.

@Letranknight2015 There must be torches available surely. Do you have solar lights in the garden? I have brought one of them inside once when I couldn't get the torch to work.

I always have candles around I hate whenever something like that happens epsecially in the middle of the night. I have a battery operated latern that I keep near so that if that I happens I can get to my candles easily I have horrible balance issues and in the dark it's impossible. I always try to be prepared.

That's even sad for me last night. We did have a battery operated lantern but I couldn't get it to work @AutumnSnow . It must be a busted bulb, not sure where to buy one.

@AutumnSnow Well, I didn't use it for a while.

@Letranknight2015 Sounds like the sort of thing that would happen to me. I haven't even thought about the bulbs in it. I probably need to check and found out too.

I have a bag of candles in the drawer next to my desk just in case so I will know for sure where some are in case of an outage.

We always have candles at home reserved for situations like that.. It is good also that cellphones have flashlights, we can use it too when it is dark.
