Poor little chicken All alone. Far away from His home. A hungry fox Sees his plight. He says to himself, "This will be the night." "Ah, chicken dinner. Yum, yum, yum, I mustn't leave A single crumb." Little chicken Spots the hungry teeth. "I wish the fox Would rather yearn for beef." The fox approaches Upon his prey. "Looks like this is Your unlucky day." The poor little chicken Attempts to flee, But alas the fox grabs him And won't let him get free. The fox takes the chicken And attempts a big fight, But is struck from behind From a man with a knife. The man rescues the chicken. The fox is dead meat. Alas, revenge can be considered Both bitter and sweet.
