The Blind leading the Blinds

Remember a few days ago I told you my husband broke one of the mini-blinds and I had to buy three new ones. (Triple window)
Well, the outfit they were coming from told me delivery would be 12/28. Now sure what hat they pulled that date out of because the blinds arrived last week. The next day my husband proceeded to put them up.
Unfortunately the brackets for the old blinds would not work with the new blinds. That means taking the old out and putting up the new. He started with one of the smaller side windows blinds. It looked good, nice and white!
I left the room at that point, he didn't need my help. I knew he was working on the middle blind which is larger. Something told me to check on things. As he got the new brackets up and was inserting the blind I said "Stop!" The blind was not white it was grey. So he had to take those brackets down and reinstall the old blind. He finished putting up the other smaller new one.
So at that point I had two side windows with two new white blinds and the middle with with the old slightly non-white blind. No problem...I sent an e-mail to the company and told the the problem.
I received a response from them Monday stating they needed a photo of the blind and the box. By the way, the box said "white" but the blind is truly grey. They have this blind in several colors and grey is on choice.
The next morning another reply from them saying they would give me a 50% discount on a new blind....new blind, discount - wait a minute there slim....
They said that the difference in color is due to a dye lot that happens naturally,that from one size to the next the dye colors are not exact. Exact, now even close.We went round and round and then they asked what I wanted them to do. I can't put here what I wanted to say as myLot would throw me out LOL.
I said I wanted them to give me instructions on how to return the GREY blind at their expense and I wanted a full refund for the blind. I got a replay saying to throw the old blind out and they will credit me for the blind within 3-5 business days.
Look at the photo - what do you see? Tell me that grey blind isn't grey....
So now I will have to go elsewhere and buy a white blind and as soon as I get my refund I plan to file a complaint with the BBB. They basically called me a liar and I don't put up with that.

What earthly use would a 50% refund be if the blinds did not match the other ones? That would result in 50% for nothing because you would still need to replace the grey ones.
These companies seem to have no idea how much business they could lose by such thoughtless attitudes.

@Asylum You got that right. If they had admitted he blind was in the wrong box and sent me a new one I would have written a nice review of that company. I plan on writing a not so nice one, but not until the money is credited back to my account LOL

Not good customer service at all. I have had them tell me the same thing. What do you want us to do? Be good at your business and have half a clue. That is what I want!

@AbbyGreenhill ....Automation comes to mind here. I wonder if these blinds are automatically packaged and that the dying difference is missed because of it.

@AbbyGreenhill I hate when this happens. I received yesterday a small packet with inside a sweater that I had already ordered and paid over a month ago. I sent them a message saying that I did not order the item and send someone to get it back... for the moment no reply.

@LadyDuck Did they charge you for the second one? Once a long time ago I received a duplicate order for something, nothing expensive, and when I told them they said to just keep it. I guess shipping would have cost more than the item cost.

This house had/has blinds when we bought it - so that was super easy LOL
