Around and around they go

It is another edition of the ongoing transportation saga in my household.
We were going to have to replace a tire on my Monte Carlo. This is a vehicle we purchased used. One of the previous owners had put 18 inch rims on it for the tires, which makes the tires have to be special ordered. And a bit costly. Grrrr.
I saw a set of 16 inch rims with tires on a buy sell and trade site. Two and a half hours away from us, but at a price less than two eighteen inch tires. We went to get them.
They will work, but the rims are from an Impala, and hubby is going to need to put spacers in. He did not realize this until he had them all on the Monte. The tires on these rims are brand new.and well worth the money. So are the rims. But poor hubby changed the tires twice yesterday.
So that was where I was instead of with you here. Missed you a lot.
Oh, and we figure we will be able to sell the 18 inch rims, and tires we have for more and actually make money on the deal.

Not having to special order tires is a good thing as well.

A good solution to the problem. Good luck getting it done. Hubby will be good at changing tires.
