This is a statement I've heard lots of time, as a homeschooling mother. Well, I got a great answer for you. The majority of people think that the kid need periods of interaction to acquire social skills. But most likely they will be influenced by the majority than to be independent , and accept their peers value instead of their parent, so the parents influence is lost quickly. So no peer pressure can mean, self- confidence, independant thinking, they have ability to relate to people of all ages, my children don't have any problem to communicate with different age group at all. And there is more info on those questions. You can have all the info you need and answers to your questions, going online at hslda.com or hslda.ca photo from pixabay

If I had my time again both my kids woukd be home schooled. Both are very clever. Both refused to go. Both like me before them got well qualified by studying alone. Most friends were outside school. Plenty of activities to socialise in.

Your absolutely right! My children can have conversations with adults and kids and have no issue with it at all. My children are smart beyond their years. They do have time with other kids at church and when I babysit too. Kids always have socialization even if their not in school some way unless the parents keep them locked up somewhere...

Perhaps if there were two or three other families kids there as well, then home schooling shouldn't be a problem.

I didn't need other families nearby me to make that decision for me, I wanted to homeschool, I did it , and my husband supported me. I didn't have in mind to obey other peoples false ideas about homeschooling.
