the eyebrow

It has been brought to my attention that the eyebrow is very much in fashion amongst the younger ladies of this world. Or maybe just England. Or, you know, perhaps just this little bit of England that I inhabit.
I don't mind a bit of eyebrow. Most of us are blessed with two of the hairy things sitting above our eyes, protecting us from sweat and dirt and whatnot. Some need tweaking, some need tweezing, some need teasing, and some are wonderfully and naturally perfect. Some thin, some fat, some that meet in the middle. We all have them.
I think that the girls at College are partaking in some random competition in which the winner will be the one who has the most unnatural looking eyebrows that ever lived on a face. I don't mean to be rude; I'm no oil painting and my fashion sense is sometimes more lamb than the mutton I'm fast becoming, but a lot of these girls look like they've either stuck big furry caterpillars on their foreheads, or given their toddler sister a fat crayon and let her draw on their face as they slept.
The thing is that I just can't stop looking at these unnatural monstrosities, and I'm quite sure that one day I shall blurt out something unforgiveable. This is one fashion trend which I hope will die a quick death, because it is so unsettling!

You certainly gave me a laugh! Here in the states they put piercings in their eyebrows but I haven't noticed any drawn on yet. The big popular thing here is selfies while doing "duck lips" which looks about as stupid as a woman can possibly look.

Duck lips coupled with ridiculous eyebrows ... the world is full of too many silly things!

I don't mind weird lip colour if it suits the person and their style {even on boys!} A girl on Tuesday had turquoise hair and black lipstick, with a hint of turquoise. It suited her. I did wonder whether she gets kissed when wearing it though!!

I haven't seen that trend here yet but I'm sure if it's popular there it will be here in the US before long. Sounds like a trend that certainly doesn't need a long life

Yep, 2017 will probably go to the other extreme of removing eyebrows completely.

In ten years they'll look back at photos from now and cringe with embarrassment... I hope.
