What a sad day December 8th, 2016 and John Glenn has passed away at 95. He did so much during his life time. Former senator in Ohio served 4 terms and the first American to orbit the earth February 20, 1962. Glenn piloted the Mercury- Atlas 6 and 36 years later was the oldest person in space. Some people will remember his military service and how he was always ready to help people. Rest in peace you will be missed by so many people.

Yes, he was fortunate. He went places that some of us might dream of visiting like my husband, but only a few can go there. Have a good night.

I look at it as a wonderful day for Mr. Glenn! He had a long, productive, adventurous and interesting life. He was loved by so many, accomplished so much, did so much good and set a great example for young people. No scandals other than the old savings and loan thing (just bad judgement), no sordid affairs, no bad language. A real role model and now he's gone to the next life. Good for him. Rest in peace and thanks for a beautiful, honorable legacy.

He sure was an amazing gentleman. Certainly, a role model that I would want my children to tell their children about his life. I listened to him speak many times and always liked what he had to say.

He was 95! That is a wonder amount of years to live. May we all have such a wonderful life as he did and live so long.

I have read the news, I did not notice the age, 95, same as my Mom.
