Leah Remini is a actress and is most famous for her role on King of Queens. Leah Remini left Scientology in 2013 after thirty years with the religion. The reason she left was that she began to question the management of the church, leader David Miscavige. She started having problems when she asked about the where abouts of Miscavige's wife, Shelly, at the 2006 wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. You just don't ask questions of the higher ups activities in this organization. Leah was subjected to all kinds of interrogations and thought modifications. Friends she had known for years wrote reports about her and there was an investigation into her family. Soon after her leaving the church she did a interview on Ellen Degeneres. She brought all the things that happened to light and even wrote a book about her experience called Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology which came out in 2015. Paul Haggis wrote a open letter to Leah thanking her for her standing by him when he left Scientology. He is a director and writer who had been the most famous person to leave Scientology before Leah. In December 2016 Leah began the tv program called Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath. It has been on for three weeks now. Very explosive. It tells about the way the religion runs and how they think. How members are treated and what goes on in their inner sanctum. Scientology has written pieces about these people discrediting their credibility and giving their take on why they left the church. Last week Paul talked on the show about how he was stalked by Scientology. So much more than that too. It is a very good show and very informative about the religion. I feel badly that John Travolta is so involved in it. Leah says she is not going to intimidated and she isn't going to stop in exploiting this religion. Read more here:
Remini says she is not scared of revealing “shocking stories of abuse” within the church, which calls the series “a cheap reality TV show by a has-been actress.”

I watched a couple of episodes of that show last night. It was pretty wild. I don't want to bad mouth it, but it's similar to other religious groups out there.

It is interesting how the religion works and how they treat these people if they oppose them in any way.
