I got my annual cost of living adjustment (COLA) letter from the gubmint today telling me how rich I'll be on Social Security in 2017.
They gave me a little raise. They charged me a little more for Medicare.
I broke even.
Same as last year.
Same as the year before.
Gubmint gives.
Gubmint takes it alllll back.
All hail the gubmint.

One of my 80+ year old neighbors got less than a dollar. It's absolutely awful. I love your gallows humor! We may as well laugh, I guess.

@blitzfrick -- you gotta laugh to keep from crying. On January 20th I'll start my second presidential administration waiting for my VA claim. But, they just passed a law mandating that the VA has to hire more people and judges to get this massive backlog cleared off, so maybe....by the time I'm 86 (I'm 56 now)....
