~Yesterday Was A No Nonsense Day~

I don't know what got into me yesterday but...I WAS NOT PLAYING. Lol. I had no sleep the night before because the girl's mom I babysit for showed up 6 hours later than she was supposed to for pick up. I told her I thought it was very disrespectful not to at least call and let me know she would be so much later. It actually felt good to defend myself for once and she apologized.
Aunt Mary got told off FOUR times yesterday by me. The first thing she said when I woke up was those kids were up all night playing. (I know they were NOT because I was up all night long!) I said no they weren't, I was up all night so I know they were not. She said oh I didn't say they were I was just asking if they were.
Uh-huh because she got caught in a lie she changed her story real quick.
The second thing was she wanted my daughter to use bleach and clean the bathroom. As I have told her before my KIDS are not using chemicals-it's an adult's job to clean the bathroom and I would be happy to do it if she didn't want to.
Then she gets in the shower without asking anyone else if we had to use the bathroom first-we only have ONE and I'm pregnant so I constantly have to go! And my kids have little bladders too.
I told her next time she needs to ask everyone if they have to use the bathroom first.
Then she complained because my husband didn't take her to the store earlier than 9pm because he was working all day and wanted to spend an hour with his family. I told her you should be grateful he's willing to take you at all and he has a right to see his family for an hour!
I don't know why but glad I defended myself yesterday-I needed to!
Picture is of my sister and I. I'm the one with darker hair if you didn't know.

You did a great job in defending yourself. I am proud of you for giving aunt Mary a piece of your mind she deserves it. Sorry I don't mean to be mean but she needs to grow up.

@Tina30219 No I agree with you. She needed me to say something because I never really have before.

You definately have to deal with many things at home. That is good and is twice as good that you can handle all of those everyday life situations.

It sounds like you have had it up to here. Is Aunt Mary going to the new house with you? I think maybe she should be living somewhere else. You are pregnant and have a houseful of kids. How much longer can you endure her nonsense?
BTW, I love the picture of you and your sister!

@akalinus Yeah yesterday I hit my boiling point and had no sleep so I just wasn't having any nonsense. She's going but not for long. My husband said once we are over there and he gets a bigger job he will give her the money to go to Louisiana.
Aw, thank you! =)

I find that when I am tired I am ultra sensitive and things really get on my nerves more than they usually would.

@Juliaacv Everyone says that and her and I just don't see it at all. Lol.
I did and I needed to because people walk all over me quite a bit. I feel much better today. =)

Way to stand up for yourself Jennifer! It sounds like she was being a little passive aggressive to you, and you responded assertively! Don't feel bad about it, as it is very important for you to take charge over the situation!

Good for you. People taking advantage should be told. That woman was very disrespectful to turn up so late without so much as a call.

@JudyEv Yeah I know, that thought went through my head as well which really annoyed me more. She was very disrespectful of my time.
