Not sure why this is divisive? Always has to be a left or right thing. The funny thing about punk rock. The lyrics usually have a left leaning mindset with a right wing attitude. That is why so many right wingers are so surprised when bands like the Dead Kennedys come out for Bernie Sanders. This is not meant to be divisive but should be common thought in this day in age. They think it is an attack against them. Maybe it is now because you voted in someone who thinks this mindset is OK. Funny thing, ask people and 90 percent say they are not racist and they have a disdain for Nazis. So why is this such a controversial viewpoint and why is this song spoken this way so controversial? It makes sense, this should be a song that 90 percent of the people agree with, unless people are lying. Why do you think this punk rock band felt the need to write a song in this way? These are people on the bottom and the see the world as it is. This is why more songs than not speak the truth. My bad, they just trying to get famous and making a story out of the past so than can get paid. Your problem is punk rock is just getting started with the Trump administration, but thanks for giving them a purpose because they always do show their true colors against whatever society thinks. Most of the time it does not work well for them, but most are angry. If they can fine hone their craft, they will eventually show you a better way. This to me is fine, because I have heard Trump supporters say this. It is the way I feel and this is the way I feel about the Trump administration, They are going to have to show me I am wrong and they have a better way. Each day I become less and less confident. So, this song rings true and is spot on in my eyes.
