Whether you are a young person or an older person, what she said can make you think about your future.
What can you look forward to in the next five or ten years?
Have you thought about what your life will be even NEXT year and what you can do NOW to make your future better.
Eleanor Roosevelt was “an American politician, diplomat, and activist” according to what I read on Wikipedia. Her life story is VERY interesting.
She said: “The future belongs to those who believe the beauty of their dreams.”
What are your dreams for the future?
Do you have FAITH that your dreams can come true?
She also said: “Happiness is not a goal…it’s a by-product of a life well lived.”
Do you live your life now, with your future in mind?
What are you doing now to MAKE your future better?
When I think about the future, there is one particular thing that I look forward to.
Have you ever prayed the Lord’s Prayer? Most Christians have.
Do you realize that in praying that prayer, you are asking for God’s Kingdom to come and HIS will to be done on Earth?
Just what is God’s Kingdom and what will it mean for you in the future?

If you reach a certain age with few sands left in the hourglass, you better be living for now and not 10 years from now.

You make a good point. However we never really know how long we have yet to live. Sometimes doctors tell persons that they have three to six months and yet they live many more years.
