How silly is that? 
I was explaining to my friend in AZ on the phone my fears of flying and maybe not getting the oxygen, etc. and she said that and she also said, "we all gotta die some time" Really? like I didn't know that. Like I told her still it is no reason not to try and preserve it as long as we can.
Everyone does all they can to survive. Very few just lay back and say, oh well I will just wait with no thought on it.
Then I see that Zsa Zsa Gabor has died at 99 yrs. well she sure would not have made it this long if she didn't care to stay so long. right? Strangely I had no idea she was married 9 times. wow 
and I thought my 5 times was a lot. and Liz Taylor's 8 times. Anyway, I used to joke about trying to catch up with Liz, but really it was unintentional. Each time I was asked I avoided it for a while till they insisted to much.
Anyway, I digress. Wouldn't you say it's natural to preserve our life? I know as she says when it's our time He takes us. I just think we are never quite ready.

I think a better way of phrasing that would be "Hope for the best and expect the worst" that means your guard is never down but at least you have hope that the good will happen and everything will be okay. That is how I got over my fear of flying. I still have anxiety and such but it wasn't as bad when I boarded a plane when I was 14 and crying the whole 5 hours.
No one is ready to die, we just live and live and do what we can to stay alive haha

Yes, I think it is only natural for us to fight to survive or at least that is the way I feel. Zsa Zsa really had a lot of health problems toward the last years of her life, even having a leg amputated and yet she fought to survive.

@bunnybon7 I know and also Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. I don't remember so many celebrities dying so close together before.

thats another problem. in truth i am afraid to fly even though i have been told its safest. i don't feel it. if you crash a plane, not likely to live over it and vehicle crashes have a lot of survivors .

@paigea still there are usually hundred or more people on one when it does. compared to possibley a vehical with a few people in it that usually survive .

thing is she was lots more when young. yet, she was not so beautiful inside from what i know about her. slapping cops, etc.

I would not do parapente of do those sports where you tie yourself to a cable and jump over a bridge. But I accept that life has an end and I only hope I will have agood quality of life, no matter what that amount.

Of course we all want to survive as long as we can, otherwise there would not be as many hospitals around and doctors to go to.

It may not have been because she cared about living. Our understanding is she was hooked up to equipment that kept her going long beyond what she might have wanted. We wonder if someone forced her to stay alive because of greed.
