Holiday Idea: Personalized Frame!

Last week, I ordered a few personalized items on Shutterfly and here's one of the items. It's a wood frame that is laser-engraved with the phrase 'Love is all you need' with hearts. The bottom left (covered) with the box, is my boyfriend and my name.. It's a pretty nice and sturdy picture frame. I need to find or develop a 4 by 6 photo to put inside.
Oh how I love personalized gifts. 
Are you a fan of personalized gifts too? Did you get anyone personalized or handmade gifts this year? I ordered a personalized notebook, birthday card, holiday cards and christmas ornament in addition to this.

I had Ruby's photo made into an ornament for my husband to put on his tree. I did one for my niece with her and her new puppy. That's about it.

I used to manage Things Remembered (are their stores still around in malls?) and this time of year would be my busiest... I remember staying in the store well over midnight doing all the personalized engraving orders up to Christmas or New Year's eve as it never fails there would be plenty of last minute gift shoppers out there year after year...

Things Remembered still exits!
I have ordered a few items there earlier this year! I got personalized glass cups, jar cups, key chain & bracelet. The personalized cups/jar cups haven't used it! I like to look at it only.
The bracelet was too loose so I didn't wear it and too fake looking too, lol. And the keychain, it fell apart last month and its beat up now :) But it has my initials on it.

@infatuatedbby Oh, I'm not sure what kind of items they have now... It was over 25 years ago that I worked there... I remember some jewelry were not really good quality silver or gold plating and it was a pain engraving them because the plating would peel off easily... I used to like the solid brass keychains - they're simple and soft so engraving done on them usually turned out well... June is another busy month for the store with all the graduation and bridal orders piling up...

@sishy7 oh I see and I bet Valentine's Day is packed as well and Mother's Day?
I ordered them because there was a major sale & didn't end up paying much lol! Otherwise I'm not into their jewelry I can't wear plated or fake jewelry for long without getting a rash!

My daughter always gives me beautiful photographs of the two of us together, and she usually finds the best frames for the photos. Sometimes, she gets them personalized, but either way, I love all the father-daughter photos of the two of us that she gives me!

I never done any personalized frames besides this one because I had a good coupon deal I received. I don't think I'd pay the retail which is $40 now on sale $30, at the time I ordered it was $20, anyhow - I'd rather do it myself.
Back in the day, my sister and I glued shells on our frames we still have it in her room (that she doesn't live in and its just storage now since she's moved out a long time ago)

@infatuatedbby I loved it when my kids were little and made homemade gifts at school, church or daycare to give to me for holidays (like Fathers Day). Nothing is as great as a homemade gift from a child!

I love personalized gifts as well =) Aw, that is sweet. I personalized a metal ornament frame ~ one side is of my boyfriend + I and the other side is my boyfriend & I+ with my parents.
