Day 103 Proverbs 14:26 Proverbs 14:26 In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. 27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. Who or what do you have confidence in? You will find a whole section in book stores and libraries dedicated to confidence and other motivators so you will feel good about yourself and even like and love yourself. When you have confidence in yourself, you can achieve anything. Solomon found one thing most important where confidence was concerned and that was respect for God. Fear in the King James means respect, awe, deep reverence. When Solomon applied reverence, respect, awe for God, he found confidence in everything he did and found it renewed his life and got rid of all those death traps that can ensnare the mind. As Christians, when you apply the same respect for God as Solomon did, you will find the confidence you need for any task you undertake. Life will take on a new meaning, and you will be able to tell Satan to take a hike with boldness born out of your deep commitment for God and Jesus Christ your Savior. With a new meaning in life, you will be able to chase away the snares of death Satan puts in your path. Your confidence will take you to new heights, and you will be able to achieve those things you thought impossible without the confidence and motivation needed for what God has for you to do. What is stopping you from achieving your goals? What roadblocks has Satan put in front of you that needs to be taken out of the way? Take hold of confidence born out of deep respect for God and watch your goals become achievements. Nothing will be able to stop you when you put God in your plans first and watch him pave the way for you. Jesus said to seek God’s kingdom first and then you will have what we need. Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV) Jesus was talking about the things you need for daily living. However, that’s where it starts, with your daily needs. When you can trust God to take care of you in the small things, you will gain the confidence you need to trust him in the bigger areas of your lives. Then nothing, not even Satan, will be able to stop you from achieving your goals. Confidence is something we all need. Put God first, trust him, respect him, and give him the reverence he deserves and you will have the desires of your heart. Let’s pray: Father, help me have the confidence I need by giving you the respect and deep reverence you deserve. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Very nice. I have confidence in myself. I think it took me a long time to get there.

For a long time, I had problems trying to develop a relationship with God, as like @cpefley says, "I have confidence in myself and my abilities". It's taken me a long time to admit that human capacities simply does not measure up to the divine. But old habits die hard, and I still have a tendency to try to "work things out myself", but I do have the confidence in myself to "let go and let God". And that, can be a very scary thing at times.

@just4him thank you. yes, I think most of time, I just see things as it needs to get done, and it's taking a lot of mindset change to make sure God is included in the process.

@stbrians And that has never been an easy notion for me, as I am very good at "handling it" as they say

You've come a long way. Yes, it can be scary, but the more you let go and let God, the easier it will be.

Great lesson: When we respect, believe and put our trust in God we can go ahead with confidence - even though road blocks are put in our way. we know that one day those blocks will be removed.

Yes they will, and you can remove them by telling Satan to flee.
