I wrote earlier about a site (tellwut.com) that I'm on that I finally reached 10,000 points after answering surveys to claim a $25 Amazon gift card. I tried cashing out, but my rewards were cancelled. I wrote to their support and they gave me a list of things that I might have done wrong, such as not having enough points, not being in good standing, my IP address might not match my physical address.
Of course I responded back that every thing should be in order, that I had changed my physical address from when I started out on the site. I even went as far as to say, I got all these points and now I can't cash them in, that they were a FRAUD!!!
I checked my email and there was an email from them stating that: "In reference to your reward we looked into your account and your IP address is in Europe while your mailing address is in Nebraska. Our terms and conditions state that IP and mailing addresses must match, as this is a fraud detection practice. In order to send your reward, we do need a piece of identification or a bill or lease that shows your name and new address. You can send this is by either taking a photo of it or scanning it and attaching it to an email back to us."
I'm like "I've never been to Europe, but apparently my computer has!!!"
So, I sent them some I.D. and am waiting for their response. Hopefully this will be enough. I'm now remembering that PayPal also needed verification of who I was.
I'll keep you updated!!

That is very strange that your IP should be in Europe! Maybe your internet provider routes through overseas?! I know I tried to change my address and they told me they needed a picture of a bill with the new address. Well, I kept the old one since I don't have a camera. I will have to remember to ask my DIL to use her phone camera to do so.
At least this way they don't have any anonymous trolls.
I was very irate this morning when I did the surveys. On one survey that was totally unrelated to politics people were getting nasty about the election!! I wonder when that crap will stop?!

And even if it isn't related to politics, people make it into politics!!

Sounds like a wasted effort to me.
