Rape kits have been in the news lately. One story , in texas, there were over 6,000 rape kits were setting and nothing done with them. No wonder so few rape convictions happen. Maybe they need to open a new rape department with more prosecutors and detectives. The statute of limitations has expires on many. I think that there shoud be a law that each one needs to be processed with a certain amount of time and not allowed to just set somewhere until they can't do anything about it. The statute of limitations is usually up in six or seven years.

@celticeagle Since I don't watch the news very often, I haven't heard of them.

Too many are back logged due to not enough employees to handle the work.

@celticeagle It is sad when justice becomes a victim of the taxpayers unwillingness to fund vital services.

@DWDavis .....So true. Sad really. These violators are able to harm more women because of this too.

there is some stigma there, plus people dont always handle the reporting of right, like there needs to be trained personal, to handle the questioning, and everything that know HOW to do it, so the victim feels safe.
