Just had an idea.

Yesterday I purchased several raw prawns to make my fave pizza. I purchased the makings for several meals and I simply cannot eat all this food in a few days. I was thinking I could make the pizza, let it cool and put it on a paper plate, cover it in plastic film and freeze it for later. What do y'all think? Image from Pixabay.

I never thought to have shrimp on my pizza, hmmm wonder how that would taste. I think you could freeze it.

It's so yum. i use flat bread for the base, spread tomato paste on the bread then arrange the peeled prawns. i use sliced tomato, dollops of ricotta cheese then basil, cashew and pine nut pesto. I sprinkle toasted bacon bits all over and sprinkle fresh basil leaves.

Perhaps it would be better if you separate the toppings from the the crust and just bake what you will use up. Yes freeze the uncooked ingredients especially the prawns.

The prawns were frozen originally so I will not be re-freezing them. I can't see the point in separating the toppings from the crust or freezing them. My goal is to have a frozen pizza including the toppings.

@MsTickle oh sorry I had the wrong idea of what you wanted to do, we keep supermarket bought crusts in the fridge( if we do not like to make) raw meat including shrimps are frozen and are only thawed, precooked when ready to be used as toppings and in it goes to the oven. We always eat our pizza hot and only put leftovers in the fridge and usually there is none.

I was under the impression that you always threw the prawns on the barbie in Oz?

I think you are going to make the frozen pizzas like what they are available in the supermarket. It can work. Since I make the same at home. After the pizza is half done, you use the plastic film to pack it. And then pack it with the tinfoil again. Then when you want to eat it, just take it out of the fridge and bake it for about 10 minutes. It will be as delicious as the fresh pizza.

Hope you came up with a solution. And also that you had a nice Christmas. Did you manage to see the New Year in?
