At someone else's expense. It was "Basket Case" for Green Day. They were under the impression that song came out in 2009. Only to be rejected to let them know YouTube was not around in 1993. Can tell they were a kid because they admitted that is when they thought the song came out, but did not think about that is the day it was uploaded to Youtube. We know adults 40 and over have been told never admit they are wrong. While I like Green Day that song was over played and 1993 was a great year for punk rock. 2009 might have been decent, but probably not as good as 1993. 2009 hits were..... Well, not sure, because I was not back into punk then. Most of the songs showing up are indeed alternative, not punk. I know a few bands, but are your usual players. I think what happened is they mixed grunge and punk. While punk did better than ever in 1993. It is more or less nonexistent when you do search results as a whole. Lots of alternative and grunge showing up, but not the root music that became mainstream for a minute which led to pop punk and that became more famous. I actually think 1995 might be a better year because the music had a couple of years to sink in. Funny how history forgets quick,Offspring, Green Day, Bad Religion, Rancid with NOFX tailing a bit behind. Those the bands that will be remembered. Except, Rancid and NOFX will be forgotten by the masses with a Maybe on Bad Religion. With the way we write history these days, most likely. Social Distortion is barely mentioned. Should say a lot. Since I have dementia and a song is not popping in my head. I was really trying to think of a song that this young buck would like from that era that was not over played. So much for that thought over fashion thing. They done already forgot us. While there was a few bands I can remember. It is nothing that will make society reconsider its thought process. They set in their ways. So thought I would just play a cool alternative song. A society handles this kind of music better. They like A thief as long as they are smart about it. Why we have a President Named Donald Trump and Wall Street can never go to jail or any CEO that pulls the executive bonuses of 1 million plus a year. Will you at least remember this?
