The Saga Continues

Some one or some thing must be really mad at me. I try to be a good person and do the right things so it upsets me when I am deluged with nothing but bad luck. As you will remember about my post on 12/22 (Severe Pain), I had listed a few things that had gone terribly wrong; well, the Saga Continues. Starting on the 28th, I had no phone/computer service. My daughter was concerned because we always email each other every day. When she got no email and no call came through, she called the Sheriff to do a welfare check; since I haven't been doing so well since all my teeth were pulled. I've had nothing but problems with my Windstream carrier since July, so I decided to cancel their service and go with AT&T and Direct TV. Well come to find out AT&T doesn't service my internet. Ducky!! And because of the holiday, I can't get through to Windstream to find out if they'll just do my internet only. Then remember I had cats that were sick. On Friday night, one of them had a massive Gran-mal Seizure which lasted 2 minutes. After the seizure, his pupils were the size of a dime, he was staggering, rapid heart rate and he was crying. Now mind you, because of the holiday, the closest vet was far away but when I called him, he said to bring Snickel-Fritches in but it couldn't be until Saturday. His sugar level was 469 (normal is 65-135), he was completely blind, had ketoacidosis and his organs were shutting down. Apparently he had Diabetes and the onset was immediate. The vet said even if he tried Insulin, it wouldn't save him. So I had to have him put to sleep, brought him home and buried him. Then Sunday morning, one of the other cats started acting the same way. She is lethargic, won't eat and staggers. Do you think I can get a hold of ANY VET??? Nope. And they are closed today as well. So I have a feeling I'll be burying another cat tomorrow. So December of 2016 sucked and now January of 2017 is going to suck too. I just can't win.
