We went to the orientation class, and they gave Mom a booklet and went through it with her and the other six people that were there about the effects they might have with the chemo and what to do or who to call if that happened.
Then they took everyone to the -- it had a name, but I can't remember what it was--but the place where they administer the chemo. It looked cheerful, considering what folks were there to do.
Mom wants me to come with her the first time she has it.

It may be helpful for you to go. It sounds like it will certainly make her feel better.

I think it is important that you be there with her. She needs the support. It must be scary for her.
