The human body is an amazing mechanism, beginning with a single cell, which when fertilized grows into a human baby and continues to grow into an adult after being born. All systems develop: skeletal, circulatory, glandular, respiratory and more. An absolutely amazing design, that functions automatically, without you having to think about it.
Consider these amazing facts:
As humans, we have about 10,000 taste buds covering our tongue and the inside of our mouth. So, we have the marvelous sense of taste. We can distinguish between sweet and sour and salty and we can identify food by taste and smell, without seeing what we are eating.
The heart beats around 100 times a minute, or about 6,000 times in an hour. That’s 144,000 beats a day and 52,596,000 times every year of a person’s life. Mine has been beating for 75 years. I can’t even calculate the number.
How many times do you breathe in and out every day? How do you learn to talk and walk and sing and dance and all the other things that your body allows you to do? Just think about your hands and all the things they can do and your eyes, what they can see at a glance.
Did you know that your right lung has three lobes to take in air, but your left lung has only two lobes. Why? To make room for your heart.
Your blood travels at about .7 miles per hour, so in twenty seconds, a drop of your blood can circulate completely from your heart, through your body and back to your heart.
A person really needs to consider all the marvelous things that their body can do automatically, just like it was designed to do and not take it for granted. An intelligent designer is responsible.

Yes, and the average person doesn't know the half of it. There are many, many other things that we don't know about our own bodies. The list is long.

@JudyEv I think that the average person doesn't even think about bodily functions. How our body digests food and why our skin heals itself and how our nervous system is all connected to our brain. Most of us just take everything for granted and we don't think about how marvelously the human body is designed.

Yes, the human body is a marvelous design and the designer is God. We should thank God every day that we are alive. Even that is amazing when we think about the steps through many generations that it took for a person to even exist. I've been researching my ancestry and it's amazing.
