This is not My Birthstone

I saw this ring from my former jewelry supplier ,I think it is lovely and perfect for my fingers because it is size six. However, this is not my birthstone :( . I am a capricorn and my birthstone is Garnet. I would love this even more if it is my birthstone. Garnet is a difficult to find. Honestly, I never own a jewelry with this kind of stone. I wish I could find one. Thus, I just buy what looks nice hehehe. I want to buy this but I am having second thoughts. Do you buy jewelry with gem that is not your birthstone?

That is lovely! How much? My birthstone is ruby but I don't really mind it so I do buy other stones as well.

Wow it is lovely! I don't think it's wrong with wearing a birthstone that is not yours! It's beautiful regardless. :) But I hope you find your birthstone if thats what you really want.

If I had the extra money I would buy a different birthstone than my own because I don't like my birth stone color at all.

Yes, of course I wear different kind of gems and stones. My birthstone is Amethyst, I do not like it at all.

@Iam_jauntyjen I do not like the color and in my country it is considered an unlucky stone.

@Iam_jauntyjen Can you afford to buy it? If so, then buy it. What birthstone is it, do you know?

I do sometimes but if I like the color of the stone regardless of the birthstone I will buy it. I love that ring. It is gorgeous. The color is stunning.

i looked up pictures of garnet online since i don't know the color and you're right, they're not that common here.

Yes, I don't know why. I think Ruby is more common here.

Yes, I buy whatever I like, except opals. Opals are supposed to bring bad luck unless your birthday is in October. I've had enough bad luck without adding to it. I bought garnets in Prague and at an antique jewelry store in NYC.

I don't often buy jewelry. But when I do, it's usually not my birthstone, but something I like.

What a beautiful ring! I do have a ring that is my birthstone, but also a few that are not. Sometimes, I just choose a favorite color.
