Well......... you know I've been shredding lots of papers lately and I recently jammed the shredder. My boyfriend has yet to fix it. Now today while taking some photos to list on Poshmark/Mercari, my SD slot is not detecting on my laptop! What's next will I *sorta* break, that can still be fixable just I will wait for my boyfriend to do it.. How's the first week of your New Year's going?

Has it really only been a week? Wow-time is going slower for me. You remind me, I have to get busy shredding.

I have to start THROWING OUT papers. It's raining out. I can multi-task by throwing stuff out and taking a shower. Here goes.

Consider yourself lucky that you have someone who can fix all the things you "break." If I break something, I'm on my own to fix them! Which is not a good thing, because I'm not good at fixing things.

@infatuatedbby I had to have somebody show me how to fix the tv, it wasn't something I figured out on my own! Now my brother on the other hand, that guy can fix anything! I need instructions before I can even attempt to fix something!

@moffittjc Ohhh lacking a quality Mr. Haha but it's okay. Another to add on my list, I broke a pair of scissors the plastic of the handle BUT I can still use it technically because there is rubber silicone around the handles so you can still stick your fingers in the handles to cut. Haha

This should be easy to unjam But better wait for your boyfriend to do it.
How to Unjam a Paper Shredder. Shredders: useful office appliances, important privacy tools, and incredibly annoying when they jam. Luckily, the majority of jams can be cleared with common sense and a little elbow-grease; serious ones may...

@infatuatedbby does the manual specify the how thick the paper should be?
• United States
8 Jan 17
@Madshadi the shredder said it can shred up to 12 pages a time. I figured shredding a thicker paper won't hurt? Even so I didn't shred a lot at once Max was 6-7 sheets for reg paper And 2-3 for the thicker paper

I'm sorry you're not having a good start to your year! I go through phases like that, where it seems like a lot of stuff breaks at once. (Notice how I phrased it as a passive phrase, as though things just break and I have nothing to do with it. Yes, even glasses just break by themselves in my house. ) Hopefully the second week of the year goes better!

@infatuatedbby Not now, but last year I broke a mirror right at the beginning of the year. I just saw a couple of days ago that came up in my Facebook memories, and thought that explained a lot! LOL.

I know if I said I haven't broken anything yet, then I will jinx it and something will break this week . New Year is going well thus far! The kids are done with winter break and go back to school in the morning - I go back into routine again. Ah, so we had a "break" after all .

@infatuatedbby They get 3 weeks of vacation instead of 2 that most of us used to get! Seriously, I think kids get less days of school these days, or at least it seems like it!

Well don't let it get ya down. I like to think that the first week or so is a little bit of a trial run, because you have to test yourself a little bit and get a baseline to measure.
