Do you like any "different" smell in particular?

I think there is always something that awakens the attention of our noses, that makes us happier and pay more attention to the small moments. So, I have 3 smells in particular that I really love: - 01. Smell of hot coffee; - 02. Smell of wet earth; - 03. Smell of new books. About number 03: Yes, you read right! I love smelling new books... and I know that I'm not the only one around the world ).

I used to work in an antiquarian booksellers (one reason being that I love the smell of old books). I also love the smell of freshly roasted coffee. One day a customer came in with a bag of shopping, bringing with him what seemed to me the most disgusting and offensive smell I have ever smelt. During the course of conversation, I asked what was in his bag (without saying that I found the smell repulsive). As soon as he told me that he had just been to the coffee shop, I realised that it was fresh roasted coffee I had smelt and my whole perception did a double-take and I immediately thought the smell was as delicious now as it had been objectionable just a few minutes before!

When a Books A Million opened here, we were amazed by the scent of the books. The store was filled with the essence of inks, paper and more. It was wonderful. The aroma of early morning muffins would be wonderful to wake up to each day.
