I am being set up...

I just received an email from someone, letting me know that she has a guy that she wants to introduce me to... She says that he is a chef, and that he wants to fall in love with someone who loves to cook; and since she is married, she thought I would be a great match. Ugh... Just because someone's a chef, and I love to cook, does not mean I would make a good match. I appreciate her jesture, but the kind of guy I like, may not always have the same talents, or looks that qualify for a GQ centerfold. Yes... We can share the same interests for entertainment purposes, and adventures, so life can be enjoyable...but not necessarily someone with the same skills. It is hard to explain. But there is a certain type of heart, and personality that attracts me, and that has happened just a few times in my life. I am different than most people. I don't like being set up, nor do I like being members of dating sites, etc. I like it to happen naturally , with no pressure. Besides... I have had a talk with Jesus about this situation, and I am going to just leave it at that...

I find more often that opposites attract with most things. For example with cooking, my husband enjoys cooking more than I do-which works out perfectly because we don't argue about who wants to cook. Lol. I hope you can find someone in your own way and time. =)

I found him, but I don't think God will help me out on this...

When the time is right you will meet the one for you. People think they are being helpful when they try to set you up.

I am too old. Besides... My heart is taken, but as usual...God ignores me in this area. And please don't say he is not the right one. I have never met anyone that I got along better with him. But again... It is too late. I am just too old.

sometimes it seems like ppl in relationships feel the need to put others in them too, no idea why

set ups are the worst. most of the times the person you get set up with is the type of person that the friend would go out with if single. and yours is in that category.
