Construction work may be defected due to low quality. In other words, the construction work did not meet required specifications. If the construction was funded by government, then government shall have the work audited to make sure that all engineering requirements have been met. Engineering calculation has something to do with cost determined to carry out the work. Contractors may want to get as much profit as possible by "stealing" the allocated cost of construction. For example, he may want to reduce the volume of certain materials or use low quality materials. In this case government auditors assigned to carry out audit should consist of at least engineers and finance experts.
If fraudulent activities are found the work, the government or the agency responsible for the work may want to sue the contractor for the work. Government loss in this project cannot be claimed or contractors cannot be sued unless the findings or corrupted works are the result of auditors consisting of engineers and finance experts. If audit team only consist of finance experts only, the claim in the court will be rejected bythe judge or prosecutor. What's your take on this case?
